When you receive your corset, it's essential to season it. This means wearing it loosely for short periods initially. Gradually tighten the laces over time to allow the corset to adapt to your body's shape. This process ensures both comfort and longevity.
Wearing your corset
Always loosen the laces fully before putting on your corset. Fasten the busk closure first, starting from the top and working your way down. Then, tighten the laces gradually, ensuring an even and comfortable fit.
Never lace your corset too tightly, especially when new. It should be snug but not constricting, allowing for comfortable movement and breathing.
Cleaning your corset
If your corset experiences minor spills or stains, gently spot clean the affected area with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not submerge the corset in water.
